Surfing

Santa Teresa, considered to be a surfer’s paradise, is arguably the most consistent and well formed beach break in all of Costa Rica.  The topography of the coastline creates a unique wave set-up, whereby different areas of the beach offer vastly different surfing conditions.  There are gentler breaking waves perfect for the beginner and intermediate level surfer.  For the advanced, there are miles of ripable beach break peaks right outside the backyard, and there is a right point break, a left point break, and a reef break all within a 10 minute distance.  When in the surf, a glance towards shore will reveal unspoiled views of natural beach scenery.

Yoga

Located inside The Jungle House is a large yoga studio in which we offer a program that everyone can benefit from.  Yoga and surfing share a common bond – both pursuits contain spiritual elements and require balance, strength, and poise – and our poses concentrate on these facets.  If you don’t practice Yoga regularly, our goal is to make you aware of its benefits, and inspire you to make this an important part of your daily life.

Waterfall Tour

Montezuma Falls is comprised of three separate falls, each containing its own natural swimming pool.  The 1st falls is about a 5 minute hike up the river, and offers a 6 meter jump off the cliff as well as being at the bottom and experiencing the force of a spectacular 70 meter falls. The 2nd falls is more secluded and offers a 12 meter jump, while the 3rd falls offer a rope-swing or jump from about a 4 meter tall cliff.

Canopy Tour

The Canopy Tour is located 10 minutes from CDLS, and is nearly a kilometer in total length. Nightlife

Nightlife is low key, yet abundant as many places offer a wide variety of musical choices.  Reggae nights perfectly match the tropical lifestyle.  Perhaps you might opt for a "Baile" (dance) at La Lora, where a live Costa Rican band plays popular Latin music.  Maybe there is a party on the beach with international DJ's.  Whichever you choose, there is nothing like a cold Imperial in your hand as your mind wanders thinking about the days events.
If gambling is your thing, a large and elegant casino is located in the town of Tambor, approximately 45 minutes from The Jungle House.
